The Full Story
My journey began with a foundation in Business Analysis, which has given me a unique perspective when it comes to aligning design with strategic objectives.

Starting at the University of Pretoria, where I earned both my B.Com Informatics and Honours degrees. During my honours year, I was an assistant lecturer, teaching Information Systems and Database Design courses. This role sparked my interest in how people interact with technology and reinforced my passion for improving user experiences.

After university, I started my career as a Business Analyst. It was during this time that I began exploring the world of UX design. I enrolled in courses from the Interaction Design Foundation to sharpen my skills and completed a Diploma in UX Design from the UX Design Institute. This self-driven learning allowed me to transition smoothly into a full-fledged UX role, combining my analytical skills with a deep focus on user experience.

As my career progressed, I had the opportunity to work at Experio, where I contributed to various projects across multiple industries, including healthcare and finance. Today, I’m part of the team at Systems iO, a Low-Code software development company, where I continue to develop scalable and user-friendly design solutions.

Outside of my professional life, I’m a proud dog mom to Penny, my energetic one-year-old Dachshund. I grew up in Delmas, a small town that’s always kept me grounded. In my spare time, I enjoy ballroom and Latin dancing, crafting, and even spent two years studying Korean—proof that I’m always eager to learn something new!

For me, design is about making technology more accessible and enjoyable for everyone. If you’d like to chat about design, life, or anything in between, feel free to reach out.
